A Late 19thC Iron Stand, Designed by Christopher Dresser for Kenrick & Sons sub-Antiques Width: 77 cms / 2Origin: English Period: Nineteenth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: 1884 Length: 9 inches Width: 4. 5 inches (at widest point) An ornate iron stand, cast in a stylised leaf shape, with a sophisticated array of intertwining botanical forms, typical of Dresser's style. The founders marks 'A. Kenrick & Sons, No. 8, Rd 15023' are found on the underside of the stand. The way in which Dresser here has taken a commonplace everyday object, and beautifully
